Swan Hill

 17th July 2025

It is a shorter drive today to Swan Hill for an overnight stop and to reconnect with our travelling friends. Leaving Echuca at 9.30 am, we arrived in Swan Hill 2 hours later with only 154 km to travel. We went through a few slow road works projects along the way.

The Swan Hill Riverside Caravan park is right on the river, as the name suggests, and we have a riverside site.

Our site is next to Brian and Ann who were there to greet us on our arrival.

We have a great site on the river

Once settled in, we had some lunch and then drove into town to get a few essentials. It was then time for a walk along the river bank.

Following our afternoon walk we had a bit of a rest before joining Brian and Ann in their van for pre dinner drinks.

We then walked into town for dinner at a Korean/Japanese Restaurant called Niko Niko. The food was very good, serves were generous of pricing very fair. As an extra bonus it was BYO.

Fortunately we had to walk back to the caravan park, as we had all eaten too much and the walk helped settle some very full stomachs.

Tomorrow we are heading towards Mildura. Much to our surprise, getting a park booking in Mildura itself was impossoble, so we plan to stay at Red Cliffs, about 13 km on this side of Mildura.
